"Fire Within" is an original mixed media painting on high quality watercolor paper from "The Dress" series. For this series, I use the dress as metaphor to explore themes of nature and female identity. I employ the use of drawing, painting, collage and sometimes thread in my work. For this piece I photographed trees in winter and converted them to collage materials, then added paint and thread. The inspiration for this painting comes from buy an exploration of what drives us or what keeps us going even when life hands us challenges. The painting measures 9" X 9" and is ready to frame.
