This pair have metal frames which are fitted into a grooved plastic insert slotted into the frame. (Picture 4)
This is also what makes them similar and different to some typical designs of the 1930s.
They are originals made in the mid 90s and at that time a number of designers were copying vintage styles from earlier in the century and these are a good example.
They are a good option if you need something respectable, good quality, difficult to pigeonhole and not too boring or expensive.
