This intricate map of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is a beautiful piece of wall art, and would make a beautiful gift.

These small maps are an affordable way to own one of my maps.

This piece is 15x15cm overall, with a cut area of 10x10cm.

Other sizes of this map are also available in my shop.

This piece will be sent mounted in a 6x6” mount and unframed. They are designed to fit frames that are readily available internationally - I can send you information on where to buy a frame for your piece. Alternatively if you'd like a framed piece, please send me a message and I can let you know costs and whether I have any in stock.


These maps were painstakingly cut by hand by paper cutting artist Rachel Filmer from a single sheet of luxury 160gsm paper using scalpel blades.

My maps are a labour of love - after selecting an area, the roads are drawn to be completely geographically accurate and then each line is cut by hand using scalpel blades.

Each map is unique, and is cut by hand from acid-free textured cotton paper. They are very different from laser cut maps, which are cut by machine to a consistent template.

About the artist: I am based in Poole in England, and have been a paper artist for almost 10 years. I previously developed a technique for creating intricate layered photographic pieces, and I have now developed a technique for creating complex geographically accurate maps with a hand-drawn feel.

Pieces will be shipped mounted and unframed, in a cello bag and a sturdy cardboard mailer, ready to wrap and gift. These cuts are sized to fit in small square frames which are available to buy off the shelf - I can provide links to appropriate frames where you live, and tips on framing.

If you would like to purchase the piece framed, please send me a message and I will arrange this for you. I keep a small number of black wooden U.K. made box frames in stock and I can order in if you are looking for something else.

Commissions:
I take commissions so if you would like a different city, size or colour please get in touch. Costs depend on the complexity and size of the piece. I can work to different budgets, from £35 for simple mini maps to over £1000 for large and complex pieces. I am happy to work within your budget to create something special for you.
