Two vintage/antique, portrait cabinet vases.
Possibly German, but no maker's marks.
One is a deep green (forest green) over white, bottle-like vase with, according to research, a sterling silver collar stamped for Robert Pringle?), and portrait of man with pipe.
Other is brown over white with portrait of bearded man.
Green -
6,4cm (2.51") diameter x 13,6cm (5.35") tall.
No chips, cracks,or crazing.
Does have a couple glaze pops or grit on back of vase.
Brown -
6cm (2.36") diameter base
4,5cm (1.77") diameter shoulders
4cm (1.57") diameter mouth (flared)
13cm (5.11") tall
No chips, cracks, or crazing.
Does have a couple buy of tiny areas of paint loss.
These were bought at an antique auction from the estate of a local, well-known antiques dealer. Sold as antique vases, but no definite age was given.
