This is such a lovely print of one of my original designs, one of my favorites. Note that this listing is for the 8.5" X 11" SILK PRINT. It does NOT include the framing seen in the display pics.

The ORIGINAL is a TRADITIONAL BATIK. Batik is a process of dying fabric and painting with wax. The design is created in stages as different dyes are used, waxing after each dying, to SAVE that color. Once the BATIK is completed, it is photographed and put onto my computer. Once on the computer, I can then print the design directly onto fine, silk Habotai that is 8.5" x 11". The silk print is paper-backed which keeps it nicely flat. The print will come to you with a foam core backing and in a plastic sleeve. I include a backing page that has the title of the piece (Hummingbird in Flight) and tells a bit about the piece and a little bit about me. This is the default. You can create your own or I have another written page that is on Gratitude. The two options are pictured. Please choose below. Then know that I do need an OK from you for any custom work before I print. I believe Etsy send communications from me through email, so do look for me.

This is a gorgeous SILK PRINT which I will create for you. Print fits within a mat for an 8.5" X 11" print and then framing would be a minimum of 11' X 14" or 12" X 16". Pictures above are the vertical ones for the silk print.

This is not only a spectacular design but the actual printing on the silk is gorgeous: rich tones, very lovely. It is perfect for that lover of Hummingbirds. Silk is perfect for celebrating that 12th anniversary or for any special occasion. This is truly a lovely gift.

It is shown above as the horizontal pictures. Know that I will need to be in touch with you regarding the customization. You can put it in the box below, but we still need to have contact.

If by chance we don't connect, I will print the default backing for the silk print. And if you have chosen the custom card, I hope we connect. Default would be no verbiage on the inside and the back would be the Gratitude message.

I do like my viewers to know a bit about me. I am an avid environmentalist who supports a number of non-profits dedicated to the creatures, the human condition and the environment. Fully 20% of the profits of this card will go to Earth Justice, a group dedicated to saving the earth! Other cards relate to other non-profits; my bird cards benefit my local Santa Cruz Native Animal Rescue, a rescue group that also rehabilitates injured and sick birds and all creatures needing help; my dog cards benefit my local SPCA; my ocean-scape's benefit Ocean Conservancy.
