This piece is signed on the bottom and comes with a descriptive card.
The Orca (Orcinus orca), also known as the Killer Whale, is not scientifically a whale, but the largest of the ocean dolphins. An Orca, which can weigh as much as 9 tons, is a gentle, responsive and intelligent creature with a highly developed communication system. Each Orca can be identified by their dorsal fin and their saddle patch, which is the area under the dorsal fin. Scientists use the distinctive markings to track individuals and to help in studying the complex hierarchy of these fascinating creatures. buy
