There is nothing more captivating than entering a bookstore. The warm lighting falls into the various nooks, the overwhelming selection and the array of colors and patterns wrapped around all the hardcovers. You gaze up and down the aisles at the crowded shelves. Time seems to freeze once your eyes lock onto a hidden gem amongst the crowded shelves. Beneath all those pages, a flurry of emotion awaits. You turn the book over and read the captivating blurb the author effortlessly placed. Your next adventure lays ahead and you can't wait to dive into the first chapter. Literature has such an incredible way of leaving a mark in you. But how do you reflect that same mark within the book? For centuries, avid book collectors have been using symbolism to claim ownership of their novels dating back to 1480 as a method of signifying pride over their hand-picked collection. Ex-Libris, also known as bookplates or Book Stamps, were used to notify the following readers or owners that this piece of literature had belonged to them and their collection.

Whether you are a veteran collector of books or a beginner reader, you have the opportunity to become part of the story by leaving your stamp for the world to discover. These one-of-a-kind, custom handcrafted ex-libris offer you the ability to become more than just a reader.

EX-LIBRIS
• This customizable book stamp has been designed by me. Once I get your order with your personalized text, the ex-libris can be brought into life. Each copy belongs to a limited edition of 5 copies maximum. No reissue will take place beyond this quantity. Each ex libris is numbered, signed, and delivered with a card-certificate of authenticity.
• The ex-libris is mounted on a high-quality beech wood from Jura (France) for a comfortable ergonomic grip. Its maintenance is very easy (damp cloth to remove the ink from time to time or between two colors).
• The stamp print measures approximately 40 x 60 mm. It can be slightly more depending on the illustration, without exceeding 55 x 85 mm. It can be rectangular, square, or round, depending on the illustration. In order to make the print as detailed as possible, it is made with a fine level of detail.
• An inkwell is also included. The color of the ink is to be chosen from those proposed. I also include a small card into the parcel that summarizes the instructions (maintenance and usage).

STEPS
1. Order the customizable ex-libris and mention: the text that will be engraved on the imprint of the ex libris, and the ink color of the inkwell you'd like.
2. Keep an eye on your inbox! A few hours/days after your order, you will receive a proof of design that you will have to validate within the next 2 days (check that it's the right illustration and that your personalized text has the correct spelling). Beyond these 48 hours, the design will be deemed to be compliant, and its production will begin without any modification of the order being able to happen afterwards.
3. The production time is usually a few days.
4. Shipping time is also usually a few days. I ship from France.

SUSTAINABILITY
- I design and produce all bookplates in France from French beech wood from managed forests.
- They come with an authenticity card made from 100% recycled t-shirt scraps.
- All the Ex Libris are delivered without plastic packaging, in a recycled, recyclable, bio sourced cardboard box, from managed forests. Convenient for storing the book stamp after receipt!

TIP
Bookplate stamps are designed to be stamped on the pages you find at the beginning and end of books. If you plan to stamp on thin pages (as you sometimes find), consider laying a sheet of paper behind the stamped page to protect against possible ink marks on following pages.
