This is such a gorgeous piece of Peruvian Blue Opal! I have become quite the fan.
There are two ways you can get your custom ring made: Through copper electroforming, or through traditional metalsmithing. When doing traditional metalsmithing, I can make your piece from solid silver, solid gold, solid rose gold, or gold fill/silver mixed metal. For Electroformed pieces, the structures are made from Copper and then plated (if desired) in 18k gold, Rose gold, silver, or palladium.
Please leave any style requests (horizontal stone, vertical stone, hammered band, smooth band, embellishments, etc) in the personalization box.

Please be aware of how your skin interacts with copper and/or plated jewelry before you order! A green skin effect from copper or plated copper may occur on some skin types - this is a harmless reaction that washes off, but if you would like to avoid it, please order Solid Silver/Solid Gold/Solid Rose Gold/Gold Fill.
If you have any questions or concerns, I am happy to chat!

Welcome to my shop! I hand make jewelry out of beautiful things using nature and science as my guiding lights. I love the combination of raw buy stones + luxe sophisticated metals, so I offer a wide variety of raw and natural stone jewelry.
I use two methods to create my pieces:
-Silver and Gold Smithing (Metalsmithing).
-Copper Electroforming.
When practicing metalsmithing, I am able to make solid silver and gold pieces. These are a higher price point because these premium metals are more expensive and in higher demand. I do use recycled metals whenever possible. For solid silver pieces, I mostly utilize Argentium Silver in my work, but occasionally I use fine silver and sterling silver as well. Argentium Silver is a premium silver alloy - it contains less copper than sterling silver, and the added germanium helps to guard against tarnish.
Copper Electroforming is a process that uses electricity to move copper ions from an anode, to a cathode (the piece of jewelry). The copper essentially grows around the stone, securing it and creating a very unique piece of jewelry. There are many benefits to wearing copper jewelry, but if you prefer a different look, I can plate your piece in 18k Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, or Palladium (a platinum family metal). Plating does eventually wear off over time. Plated jewelry is really not for everyday wear. Although I plate the thickest layers that the solutions will allow, the plating will wear off with lots of wear. It is hard to give a time frame for how long the plating will last because it all depends on the wearer's activities and how often the piece is worn, but please be aware of the fragility of the plate when you purchase. I or any local jeweler can always re-plate your piece whenever needed if you choose to go that route.
I do not mass produce my pieces, so all postings are either singularly available, or available for custom orders in very few quantities. Don't wait to order, because when I sell out, I may not be able to get more of the same stones back in stock!
