Sawyer - Yo buy Yo Collectible Handcrafted Fabric Doll

"Sawyer"

A perfect doll for fall! Sawyer is made from a gorgeous plaid in black, white and orange with tiny silver thread throughout and black and silver complimentary print. He has soft black velvet curls also with bits of silver.

Sawyer was created using 34 yo yos (gathered fabric rounds) from quilting fabric for arms and legs. The body and ruffled collar are also made from the same quilting fabric as well as the handmade tag on his rear. The head is a yo yo made from soft flannel with a hand drawn face. Sawyer's hair is made from soft black velvet yarn. New hypoallergenic stuffing was used for the head, body, hands, and feet. Sawyer measures approximately 11.75" long lying down and about 9.25" tall when sitting. Sawyer can sit on his own when he finds his balance.

Each yo yo doll will include a card with his/her name, date of completion and a poem I wrote to pay tribute to all of those yo yos of yesteryear.

Yo yo clowns/dolls have been around for a long time...you may remember Jingling Jack from buy the 1950s, and over the years, I have received numerous requests to recreate the cute clown. I apologize for those who have waited so long (years!) for me to come up with my own take of this classic doll. I have tried and discarded many ideas, but I finally settled on a design. :) I didn't want to make just clowns, so I will be posting a little variety of what I am calling "yesterday's yo yo dolls".
