Lori took what was originally an old cardboard box and completely transformed it into a "Christmas Greetings" book - open the book to discover a beautiful holiday scene.
The red book is decorated with vintage Santa Claus applique from old Christmas Cards, with "Christmas Greetings" painted on the front. Inside the book is a charming winter scene - a little brick house is covered with snow, with snow-capped trees, a nighttime starry night in the background, with one big bright star, and with two children playing in the snow out front.
The inside cover is painted with more snowy trees, the nighttime sky continues, and across the sky flies Santa in his sleigh, with a trail of starry vapor streaming behind him. In the trees, a small doe is observing the playful children.
Some added sparkles and a little papier-mache snow completes this lovely, tranquil scene of Christmas Eve.
A one-of-a-kind, handmade and hand-painted work of art, unlike anything else you'll see!
The book is 7-1/2" tall, and about 9" across with the cover completely open (although you'd display it with the cover just slightly closed so the piece will stand by itself).
