This seven inch tall footed bud vase was made in Japan in the late 1940s to early 1950s during the post WWII occupation and imported by the United China and Glass Company (UCAGCO). It buy has hand painted roses using gold gilders paint for most of the plant and a wash of colors for the flowers. The flowers and leaves as well as the trims around the top and bottom of the vase are accented with raised gold and white paint moriage. The vase is an interesting cream color with the slightest hints of pale green and lavender beneath a matte finish glaze. There is the slightest of lines that looks like a very fine hair or scratch that seems to be under the glaze and difficult to find on the foot (see photo). Aside from that, it appears to be in excellent condition for any age.
The price includes shipping within the United States.
