Cute as a button, this colourful little turtle looks like he would be happy to find a new home. Hard to find many other pieces like this. It's made from the black clay natural to parts of Mexico (dark on the inside too, with brush strokes all over) and also has more colours than have been found in more recent buy looking pieces.
In very good vintage condition. Some marks on the neck and underside, plus a small divot in the neck on the right side, and on the bottom of one foot, as shown. There is one small broken air bubble one the back, a few tiny dings in the glaze, particularly on the yellow tile on the right, and some light scratches. In nicely muted tones, the extra line in the (greeny) gray tile on the left is under the glaze.
