HISTORICAL REFERENCE
Cloaks of the Viking / Anglo-Saxon period were the must-have multi-purpose clothing item of their time. They were large square or rectangular pieces of loom-woven cloth (typically wool). By clever placement of a cloak pin they could be used as a cloak, cosy overcoat or hooded raincoat. At night they could be used as a travelers blanket.
The Romans called this type of round of cloak pin a Fibula.
PRODUCTION PROCESS

A bar of steel is forged to two tapered and flattened ends. Scrolls and twists are added and the whole piece forged to a round shape. Finally, the pin is forged and attached. The finished item is finally polished to a matt finish.
