Here is a superb pair of insect fossils from the world-famous Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, 52 million year ago.

The insect species is Plecia pealei or "March fly", a true member of the fly family. The complete fly specimen measures approximately 1.1 cm in length and features buy excellent details including wings, visible head and legs and abdomen indicating some stripes. There is also a very nice partial fly on this plate, measuring about 1 cm in length.

The plate is roughly 3" x 1.6" and weighs 1.25 oz.

No paint or restoration has been used on this piece.

Finally, a COA, without a photo of the exact item on the COA itself, is worthless, as it can later be placed next to any other fossil or mineral. We suggest that in addition to relying on a COA, that people read and study the subject.
