On offer is this lovely collectible vintage oil painting. It's in good condition overall - notable scuffs and scratches over the frame as well as notable light surface dirt over the painting; small specs here and there too but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional form, an oil on board depicting a charming Dutch river view with housing and a lovely calm sky - the detailing is of a good standard and the color palette displays ever so well still.

Signed lower right "T. Wielinga" - Tjerk Wielinga (1885 - 1957), circa second quarter of the 20th century. He took over his dad's buy bag shop in Sneek and continued the business selling bags and suitcases. In his spare time he painted and sold his works in his shop as well.

It comes presented in its original gold-painted frame.

It measures a charming 35.4cm (14 inches) by 18.5cm (7 and 1/4 inches) - outer measurements including the frame - and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
