It is beautifully done with Gold leaves finish.covered with clear lacquer finish on top. Backside Natural finish. It came with original gift box as well as leaflet of Hakuichi, Kanazawa where fine lacquer works are made, who is maker of this lovely coaster set. It tell the history of how Gold leaves are came from Kyoto Gold leaves are used on many art works as well as in temple and other part of Japanese culture. The condition of coaster excellent. It never been used in original carton since 1979. It has been stored away. Hakuichi is famous metal leaf/foils maker in Kanazawa. This lovely vintage coaster is not available nowadays.
