Do not touch the film as oils from your skin could cause stains. Don't worry, your sun catcher will work despite this. Do not use any cleaning products on the film. You can dust it lightly with a duster or gentle cloth.
To find the perfect spot for your sun catcher, consider how your suncatcher works: light is diffracted through the film to turn light into a prism of beautiful colors that will brighten your home. This said, suncatchers work best when they are situated in a window that gets direct sunlight. Or hung up where it can move freely and catch direct sunlight throughout the day.
Your suncatcher should be hung inside, or in an area protected from weather.
To free hang, use the attached cord to hang off from a sturdy hook, fastener from a wall, or ceiling. You can adjust the height by adding a longer cord if desired. Make sure it has enough room to rotate and that it receives direct sunlight.
To hang your suncatcher in a window, start with cleaning your window; a clean surface will help the suction cup adhere to your window. Next, wet the suction cup before placing it on the window, ensuring it will not slip off the clean window. Gently place your suncatcher on the buy hook, now sit back relax and enjoy the show.
