A Vintage 1950's Semi-Trailer Crayon Holder
This semi-trailer is one of two crayon holders homemade and handmade by a dad for his kid. They're quite great.
The other is a comical hippo - check our store for that.
This example is in fine condition and while it doesn't come with the crayons, it does hold that first-day-of-school size box buy of 24 pieces.
While fitting to the crayons, the tubes hold each crayon to a varying degree. All fit, yet some drilled holes are tighter due to interior wood shavings. Common problem of using a drill bit that's simply past its prime. Ah, it's a home workshop piece ... made with love.
For kids? No at all. Pens holder; kept on an executive desk in an office detailed with folk art? ... absolutely.
From the late 1950's or 1960's
Measures: 13.5" long
