What an exciting and magical adventure photographing the wild horses of the Salt River in Arizona. I captured this shot as these magnificent horses were strolling into the river to keep cool. The sun was setting which made for some beautiful lighting.

This photo is one of many wild horses I have taken for a continuing series I am photographing on wild horses of the USA.

The Salt River wild horses are in danger of removal by the US Forest Service. The Salt River Wild Horse Management Management Group is leading the charge to secure lasting protection for the iconic Salt River wild horses.

A portion of my photo sales go to support The Salt River Wild Horse Management Management Group, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which helps blood cancer patients live better, longer lives, and to Veterans, Inc., an organization that serves veterans and their families across America.
