Silk satin scarf, Feathers in the Rainbow! Hand dyed on 100% silk satin using the batik method with wax as a resist, 14"x 72" pictured. Vivid color radiates from this stunning silk scarf, it is dyed by hand with rainbow hues that go from one end to the other, able to be worn with everything. This scarf has been carefully stretched on a custom made stretcher, while the dye is still wet I scatter salt onto the silk which creates a really cool effect. Super soft and shiny, the photos on this just can't do it justice!

Each scarf is unique, created one at a time and it is a true piece of wearable art, no one else is going to have the same scarf like you! Each scarf is painted by me one at a time and so slight variations will occur in color and buy design and no two items are identical. That's the beauty of the handmade process. If the scarf has slight imperfections, please remember to enjoy an artists hand.

Made of soft silk fabric with hand rolled edges, hand dyed and designed by me Mary Jane Davidson.

The dyes are steam fixed to silk fibers for permanence making the scarf hand washable in cold water with mild shampoo or silk-wool detergent. Iron damp on reverse side using the silk setting.
