Wild color 80's or 90's tie by -Countess Mara- labeled for Lazarus of Morgonton. Funky 'paint splatter' grid set at 45º. A subtle but striking detail is the stylized, houndstooth tone-on-tone ghost pattern. Dark Red field with Pink, Turquoise, Purple, Gun Metal Gray, White, Plum, and Red. Foulard like hand with perfect drape. Plum buy colored 'Countess Mara 'CM' under crown logo embroidered on blade. Made in USA.

Countess Mara has been making high quality ties since at least the 40's. Their ties are often produced in limited quantities for each pattern, giving them a collectible allure.

Lazarus went out of business in 1999. Founded in 1893 by brothers Isaac and Nathan Lazarus, their building was the first to use electricity in Morganton, NC.
