Iconic Franciscan Apple 64oz Water Pitcher made in California from July 1963 to July 1964. The large pitcher has an ice guard across the spout and features a raised relief design with hand-painted red apples, green leaves and brown branches with a brown branch handle. The Apple pattern reflects the beauty of California apple orchards and displays well all buy year-round. The pitcher holds 64 ounces and is 8.5" tall and 9" wide from handle to spout. It is in good condition, no chips, cracks or stains. It has the INNERPACE "TV or TV Screen" mark, with "3163" and "Oven Safe/Color Fast", stamped on the bottom. This mark indicates it was made from July 1963 to July 1964.

Gladding, McBean & Co., began production of Franciscan dinnerware in 1934 at their plant in Glendale, California. In 1962 the company became INTERPACE, operating until 1979, when it was sold to the Wedgwood Company in England. All production had ended in the USA by 1984. In 1986 Wedgwood, Waterford and Royal Doulton merged and continues to produce the Franciscan patterns Desert Rose and Apple today.
