Jean-Pierre Rampal Bach 2-LP Set, Pristine! Vintage Vinyl Record Album Complete Bach Flute Sonatas. Baroque Music Gift, Classical Music Gift
The debonair Jean-Pierre Rampal, who died in Paris in 2000, is widely considered the greatest flutist of the 20th century. He made the flute into a superstar instrument and paved the way for other superstar flutists such as James Galway and Carol Wincenc. This lavish double album from 1971 has Rampal performing the complete flute sonatas of Johann Sebastian Bach. Joining him on harpsichord is a fellow Frenchman, the distinguished Robert Veyron-Lacroix. Any classical music fan would love this because Bach is eternal -- you never outgrow his music, you can love it your whole life. Flutists will love it because they all look up to Rampal.
This album is in wonderful conditions. The gatefold record jacket is in pristine condition as well with no markings and just the slightest touch of wear -- hardly any, really -- at the corners. Both records seem hardly to have been played. Bach does not get better than this.
Shipping is free in the U.S. We ship our albums shrink-wrapped to protect them and dress them up.
