Art Nouveau Reading Eyeglasses with round lenses and solid bridge. buy Old fashioned vintage French glasses.

French Windsor style reading glasses with round lenses, curved bridge and solid hook over the ears arms. These eyeglasses are antique from the early 1900s and would have been worn in the Edwardian or Art Nouveau eras for reading or close up work.

These antique glasses are in good condition, considering their age. There is a chip at the side of one the lenses (not noticeable when on). The price reflects this. There is patina of use to the metal frames, with some of the silver chrome worn off in places. There is some rust on the hinges, but it does not affect their ease of movement. Though these are well used glasses, they are still completely functional and could be used today for reading or sewing. At a guess, we would say the reading strength is around a 2.5 - 3.

Antique and vintage eyeglasses are smaller than todays glasses. Please check the measurements carefully. We do not accept returns on glasses that are too small.

Arm length from hinge to curve: 9.5 cm (3 3/4 inches)
