"I died for Beauty" is the title of this piece which is based from a piece of poetry by Emily Dickinson. The first one died for beauty. The shattered mirror as well as her face symbolize the death of her vanity. The second one died for truth. The eye in the sky sees all, the whole truth that can not be denied. The eye sheds a tear as does he to symbolize the death of his truth. The two share a bond that neither fear death but rather see it as an extension of their lives. They clasp hands symbolizing their connection into the afterlife. This is an original poetry interpretation 10”x13” framed abstract acrylic painting. This piece was shown in a Winston Salem art gallery. It is ready to hang. If buy you live locally in the Winston Salem area please message me for a more quick and convenient drop off/pick up.
