This listing is for ohe whole raw fleece of Gestrike wool, 1250 g, no 481

This wool is well sorted - no tummy, rump or buy leg wool and next to no hay or weed - comes from a pure Gestrike ewe who lives on a farm near lake Mälaren, Sweden.

Colour: White (with a few grey hairs and one grey spot!)
Fibre length: guard hairs up to 12 cm, under wool 7-9 cm (sheared in September 2022, after about 5 months growth)

This wool is quite soft and has a lot of volume. The staples are full and hold a lot of air. The wool is a little bit wavy.

The staples can easily be separated. Suitable for felting or spinning.

Gestrike is a heritage breed of sheep in Sweden, and it is included in a conservation program.

Gestrike wool can have many different colours, and often have patches of them on the same individual. The wool has both under wool and longer guard hairs. It is renowned for good spinning characteristics, but also felts well.
