Lovely STURDY French vintage wooden stool from the French Pyrénées.! Made form compact aged timber, it is a solid and quite heavy piece !

Features charming rustic legs, pot plant stand living room side table. Would make a lovely addition to any room, even as a bedside table or magazine stand.

Check out the chunky striated seat cut from a cross section of a tree trunk and still edged with part of its thick knotted bark - the wood is very compact and in great condition.

The 3 legs are unusual buy and original in that part of the bark has been left as a decorative feature and varnished so it would not peel off.

Overall in wonderful vintage condition with very few signs of wear and previous use with a few, scuffs, giving it loads of authentic vintage charm.

This stool may have been used for milking by dairy Farmers, long ago in South-West France, where I found it.

Beautifully sturdy and functional, ready to be used or displayed.
