Historical Cufflinks
King's African Rifles buttons, World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine King's African Rifles (KAR) buttons from the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two brass KAR buttons, typical of those worn during the First World War when more than 33,000 soldiers fought in the KAR in East Africa (present day Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan and Somalia). The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 20 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of First World War African history. The brass buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair buy of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
