Antique Primitive Splint Buttock buy Basket - Early

Wonderful old and primitive antique splint buttock basket. This basket is definitely old and it has the most beautiful patina. It is in overall excellent condition with a few areas of loose or missing splints. It is made of old oak splints with a very sturdy oak handle. This basket has a pretty weave pattern and is buy very solid and sturdy for its age. It measures 11 by 10 1/2 inches at the widest points by 9 1/2 inches tall measured to the top of the handle. The inside and bottom still have a very tight weave and the handle also has a tight weave around it. Authentic and in original condition with no repairs. Lots of patina!
