This is a Rare Vintage and Hard to Find Vestal Fireplace Damper Ashtray Advertising Salesman Sample 1940 Era. It is marked Vestal Fireplace Dampers , Ventilator Grates, Ash Dumps, Bell Traps ,Cleanout Doors on the lid and when you buy open the lid it has a place to hold 3 cigarettes. The side is marked Vestal MFG Co 38 Sweetwater Tenn. Made of Cast and Metal. I believe it to be a Salesman sample that they took around and gave away as an advertising piece as a smaller version of the actual Dampers that they sold. Good Condition.
