a lovely brooch pin in silver set with a circular facet-cut stone.
The brooch is rectangular in shape with a central cut stone which has an arch above it and a radiating triangle below. ther dis an area of piercing above the stone and the stone itself is bezel set with a gap behind it to let the light in and help it sparkle.... and sparkle it certainly does.
the brooch has geometric shapes on either side of the stone which are polished smooth. The background is textured.
the fastening pin on the reverse is set with a hinge and a roll-over clasp which is in excellent working order.
the reverse is marked 925 for silver and there are other makers marks which are more difficult to ascertain. The initials TC perhaps a studio mark.
the brooch is 41mm wide and 18mm high.
it is in excellent buy vintage condition.
a glorious and unusual brooch and a statement piece when worn.
