An Unusual Vintage Cosmetics Mirror Advertisement for Capstan Cigarettes ( Have a Capstan) Circa 1945
During and just after the end of the Second World War Capstan ran many advertising campaigns aimed at getting more women to smoke their brand of cigarettes
This rare cosmetics mirror from one of those campaigns
Was most likely given away as part of a promotion
Made from a sky blue plastic the mirror has a wonderful aged patina
The back is a padded satin material with the caption
*Have a Capstan they're made to make friends*
On the bottom is a small handle to hold the mirror
In very good condition with age and use related wear commensurate of age
A fantastic tobacciana advertising collectible
It could be a great novel and useful addition to a ladies vanity set
