BREAKING BAD Car wASh window spray soap bottle
This is from the actual Breaking Bad car wash that was used in Albuquerque NM. I had my car washed there in April 2012. The company started around 1987. There were many car washes owned by this company in ABQ ( and across the country) but they all looked different. I used to do an art show at 6500 Coors Blvd and have my car washed there as it was good and cheaper than Santa Fe. This Octopus car wash was at 3101 Coors Blvd. Google it to find the iconic arch-like shape we all remember from the show.
I found this under my seat after the company sold. I obviously don't have my car washed often. I used up the washing solution recently and realized the importance of this bit of memorabilia. I think it would be great in an art piece as a shrine to the show. Not so visually interesting on its own but...A rare find.
There is an talk between Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn about fan speculation about the last 2 episodes on VF (Vanity Fair site). Odenkirk mentions the car wash calling it Ocatopus. It was called A-1 in the serie
"For Albuquerque residents, the most recognizable landmark from Breaking Bad is the car wash where Walter works in the early episodes of the series – the same car wash that his wife Skyler later purchases to help launder their influx of drug money. If you find yourself driving through the Land of Enchantment, be sure to shine up the car at this working Octopus Car Wash." The company sold to Mister Car Washes around 2014. buy
