Rare Vintage Metal Desktop Humidor from the first part of the 1900's.
It has been well used and has plenty of patina. The exterior artwork is still very bright and the colors are vivid with little scratching or fading.
The cover is an artwork in the vein of an old master, maybe it is, who knows. It depicts a chess scene and a serving woman. The front is a green and brown swirl with gold details. Intricate metal clasp holds the tin tightly shut. The inside top has a breather vent for cigars that is filled with horsehair. There is a fair amount of rust inside but that can be expected with the age.There are four round metal balls as feet.
It measures 9.5"x 5.75" x 2".
