Vintage double pipe rest, Israel 1950s.
This is rather special , a double pipe holder made of cast brass in a pebbled texture, the stand rests on a brass wire rest support.
All items sold in Israel up to the early 70s have tax stamps ,the tax stamp on this buy pipe rest is reads " luxuries tax" the first tax stamps used in Israel and dates to the mid 50s.
Considering that Israel became a state in 1948 this is a very early piece ,I was not surprised that it has no makers name, but am certain that it was made in a very young Israel in the 50s.
Used vintage condition : Patina , surface scratches , signs of age and use no structural damage.
