Gorgeous Victorian glass bowl used as a bride's basket. This sophisticated glass piece would have originally been presented to a wealthy Victorian bride with a silver basket and handle that the basket sat neatly into. This handle has been lost to time but the gorgeous bowl remains. The bottom of the bowl is a white milk glass and the top is a beautiful pink that is lighter in the center and becomes almost cranberry at the delicate ruffled edges of the bowl. This will make a wonderful centerpiece for your wedding table and will be enjoyed for buy many years to come as a family heirloom.
There are two nodules of round, raised glass (very small) that are shown in the photos. There is a speck of dark brown that did not come off when I cleaned the glass with a damp cloth. All are not very noticeable. I did not find any chips, scratches, nicks, or cracks on this lovely bowl. It is about 10” in diameter.
