A unique innovation from danware is the Ultimate Flexible Support Spindle Bowl, 3-in-1. Spinners have told us they like to use a variety of bowls when they do supported spinning, and with this tool you have three choices. The stem includes two small bowls, one in each end and of slightly different curvature. One of those bowls is detachable, enabling you to attach the third bigger bowl to the stem for those times when you want that, or you can use the bowl by itself. The big bowl and the detachable bowl on the stem have brass cradles for metal-tipped as well as wooden-tipped support spindles. Before being introduced to the fibre arts community, the UFSSB was tested by an expert support spinner and got the thumbs up. This is what she said in her review:

“You can stuff the stem of the bowl into the cushions on your couch or beside you in the recliner … this means you can rest your spinning arm on the chair, and draft across the body and up, giving you a longer draft length and more comfort!

You can put the large bowl across your legs if you are wearing a skirt (even a short one) – it's wide enough to balance there.

The small bowl can be tucked in a spindle bag for on-the-go spinning.

With the stem attached, you can place the bowl between your thighs and have a solid, steady surface on which to spin.
