This antique medicine amber glass bottle still has the original paper label on the front and backside. It is for Dr J. Hostetter's Celebrated Stomach Bitters toted as a treatment for "Dyspepsia, liver complaint, costiveness and indigestion, intermittent fever, fever and ague, a good anti-bilious, powerful recuperant, appetizer, strengthener of digestive forces, corrective and mild cathartic". The front and back still have the original paper label. The front label was black print on tan while the backside label is tan print on black. The amber glass bottle is embossed on one side with "Dr J. Hostetter's Stomach Bitters". It has a seam on opposite corners and an applied top. The bottom is embossed with the letter "B". The bottle is empty. Shipped double boxed Measurements: Stands buy 9" tall, base is a about a 2.5x2.5" square. Condition: As shown in the photographs. This is a 100+ year old bottle and the paper labels have aging and pieces missing. The glass is free of chips or cracks.
