This Christmas dollhouse miniature patchwork quilt was entirely hand-sewn by me. The miniature quilt measures 6" x 6" (15 x 15cm) and fits a 12th scale double bed. Each tiny hexagon side measures 1/4" and the is hand sewn just as I would a real sized quilt. The colour scheme is red, green, cream and gold, and would fit in with any Christmas scene. Two matching pillows are included to finish off your Christmas bedroom scene.
There is a foil insert inside the quilt, to you can fold it to fit your bed and drape more naturally (miniature patchwork is quite stiff otherwise).
I sewed each little patchwork hexagon together using the English paper piecing technique, then appliquéd them to the quilt. This dollhouse quilt is backed with matching green fabric. It was made exactly as I would make a real-sized quilt, except on a much smaller scale. Many hours went into making it.
