A rare, vintage c1937 MINTONS porcelain 8.25” Winchester College - England dining hall plate w/ the fantastic ‘Manners Makyth Man' college crest along with the Latin motto of Winchester's Order of the Garter ‘Honi soit qui mal y pense' (evil to him who evil thinks)

-Rich green pyroglaze w/ banded rim over a white field.

Perfect.

-Winchester College founded in 1382 by William of Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester has for centuries been among the most elite of British academia.

No cracks/ No chips/ No crazing

Mintons green backstamp w/ crest + impressed 10-37

Handsome + certainly worthy of being wall-hung this little piece of ‘Cool Britannia' will include a plate hanger upon shipping for this very purpose..
