This handcrafted pen is a "Virage" style ballpoint with a twist-right opening mechanism. It uses standard Parker (or equivalent) ballpoint refills (ships with black ink - I recommend buying refills at www.woodcraft.com where a pack of five in either blue or black ink is ~$5.29 + shipping). This pen, my item # 102724, has a body of clear acrylic resin encapsulating an image of the Thin Red Line Flag honoring our members of the firefighter community who serve us all. The metal hardware has a platinum finish for maximum wear resistance and longevity. The grip is sculpted for comfort which feels very good as one writes. This is a design elegant in its simplicity which would be prized by any member of the firefighting buy community.
