This Japanese indigo pillow cover is made of pieces of waste kasuri fabrics while sewing pillows or kimono jackets.

Mottainai concept is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, it's actually up-to-date nowadays and strictly related to the zero waste idea.

This pillow is made of kasuri, a Japanese ikat textile. The beautiful indigo colour is a result of yarn-dyeing with natural indigo, then woven slowly with vintage shuttle looms into this pattern.

Please note that your pillow might slighty looks diffrent as pictured buy as the final look depends on the kasuri fabric scratches.
