Product code: White, Ivory or Cream 18 Strand Taffeta Effect Ribbon Handfasting Wedding Cord buy - with or without Charms

This Handfasting cord consists of your choice of pure White, Ivory or Cream ribbons to match your wedding theme. Like my other taffeta effect cords it is constructed from a total of 18 strands of ribbon braided into a six way plait. It features Berisfords double sided ribbon overlaid with organza ribbon to produce the distictive taffeta effect. These extra ribbons make for a more spectacular tassel at either end of the cord.

The finished buy cord is between 6-7' in length with ribbon ends sealed to help prevent fraying.

Each cord is made to order and therefore I can make changes to colours as requested. I can include another colour of organza, for example, alongside the white, ivory or cream. Please message me your request. I can also make this in silver grey or pearl.

The cord is available with or without charms. One pair can either be a pair or two single charms selected from the photograph. These will come attached to a clip so that you can also use them in everyday life afterwards as a reminder of your ceremony.

Your cord will come in an organza bag which can also be used to stash your vows as part of the ceremony, as well as storing your cord after the big day.

Handfasting began as a traditional union of two parties where the hands were bound together, therefore tying the knot. This could be done for a year and a day. for a lifetime or for all eternity. It is increasingly being incorporated into modern wedding ceremonies, which can now be held at sacred sites with a licensed celebrant...a choice not available to myself and my husband when we handfasted at Avebury during Summer Solstice celebrations some years ago (we needed to visit a registry office to make it official)

Made with love and blessings
