BirderBob makes three different sizes of heavy duty book, plant, and flower presses. One of the photos above shows them next to each other so you can judge which size will be most useful for you. We offer corrugated cardboard sheets as an option ONLY for the standard and medium presses.
OFFERED IN THIS LISTING IS OUR MEDIUM 11.5 x 13.5" PRESS WITH 10 CARDBOARD SHEETS, sturdy enough to serve you well for many years. The 3/4-inch thick, 13-ply, Baltic Birch-veneer plywood has super smooth surfaces and will not warp during use. No stains, waxes, or preservatives are used on the sanded wood.
The centers of the four bolt holes are located one inch from the sides. The measurements between the inner edges of the bolt holes are 9" and 11". This gives you a LIVE AREA of 9 x 13.5" (vertical) or 11 x 11.5" (horizontal). The weight of the two boards plus cardboard sheets and hardware is 6 lbs 12 oz.
The hardware supplied with this press is four large washers, buy eight small washers, four 5"-long hex bolts, 4 hex nuts, and 4 star knobs. See photos above or the set-up instructions included with each press for how all of this hardware is used. The ten corrugated cardboard sheets measure 11" square and have the corners cut off to fit inside the bolts.
