[*This is a PRE-SALE offering --at a SPECIAL, LIMITED-TIME PRICE (see last full paragraph below)-- of an item for which part is available as an INSTANT DOWNLOAD, and part is still in FINAL EDIT STAGES AS OF THIS WRITING.]
Ideal for the beginning to intermediate seamstress/ seamster who wants to learn how i put my fully articulated dolls together, from pattern cutting to body assemblage and finishing touches inclusive of ornately embellished Baroque-style footmen's livery costume. If you've never sewn before and/or don't have a machine, this 40-page, fully illustrated PDF tutorial is ideally scaled to show each step of hand-finishing every part of the figure and costume WITHOUT A SEWING MACHINE.
Please note also that these costumes are not available separate from the body tutorial, as they are designed as an integral part of the 'bodkin' body, which is part of my signature style. I do NOT have a background in fashion design, so all my costuming and draping skills are a natural and self-taught offshoot of my sculptor's brain.
Designed as a natural extension of my anthro-bust-sculpting tutorials (available here on my Etsy shop at the links below), these tutorials are for those wanting to try creating figures constructed like mine, but depicting all the energies cavorting around in YOUR OWN IMAGINATION! No room for all the 'kiln stuff' in your life? No worries: you can mix & match! --These patterns were designed to be used with any busts in my shop that are marked "Bodkin A compatible," so buy you could buy a bust set and then do all the sewing yourself, so we sort of 'collaborate!'
For the 'FROG/BIRD/MAUS' ceramic sculpting tutorial, see:

The model(s) for these instructions are my "Frog & Fish Footmen" vignette, soon to be listed here on my Etsy shop (see first photo for a glimpse of them), and two mice (a long-standing order for my Mom, whose beautifully painted works are available at: thelambsear.etsy.com .
This tutorial also includes a bonus Appendix on making wig elements on a very small scale (for finished dolls ranging in size from only 5"-7" in height) complete with a sidebar on how to make curling rods if you don't have an antique moustache-curler...(which is what i LEARNED to make wigs with). These reusable patterns can be paired with myriad bust types, and the tutorials expand on three variations, which i have labelled "frog, fish & maus" for instructive purposes. ("Bird," for those of you currently diving into the ceramic tutorials, will be covered in another listing, as the body type changes). Images shown in this listing are excerpted directly from the PDF itself; no fabric or notions/parts are included. One image is a digital collage of a few of the pages.
Please note that this is an INSTANT (PARTIAL) DOWNLOAD listing, which means that the body and costume pattern sheets and body tutorial will be immediately available to the purchaser upon completion of payment, and the costume portion of the tutorial (which is fully photographed, but still in final stages of composition/captioning) will be forwarded directly to the email provided by purchaser as soon as i have it finished and ready to go, most likely by the last week of February 2016. [I am publishing this listing as a pre-sale for those customers anxiously awaiting it so they can get started as soon as possible sewing bodies for kits already purchased, while i finish up the costuming notes. As an added incentive, i'm taking an additional $20 off of this Pre-Sale offering: the same tutorial, once available as a COMPLETE INSTANT DOWNLOAD will be priced at $85.00 USD, as it covers multiple costume patterns.
Please note my shop policies before purchasing this item: NO REFUNDS ON DIGITAL FILES.
