Red cretonne cotton buy fabric French heavyweight antique printed cotton red and pink floral design 1870 Textile Trunk

This wonderful fabric is a vintage French cretonne (heavyweight cotton, with a thin warp and a thick weft), dating to circa 1870. I love the wonderful large scale rosy pink floral design on the red ground! This fabric is cotton and has a lovely soft texture! It would be ideal for a small curtain, a decorative pillow, framing, design inspiration, etc... any number of projects!

MEASUREMENTS: This lovely fabric measures approximately 33 inches wide by 35 inches long


CONDITION : This fabric is in as found, not freshly laundered condition for collectors, but can be hand washed and hung to dry! There are a few tiny holes in this buy piece, as well as some light fading in places and very light marks. There are a few tiny nubs here and there in the texture which gives it a lovely textural look. This textile had been attached to another piece in the past; when held to the light, you can see the tiny row of holes where the seam had been! This textile is not perfect, but it's perfectly wonderful for anyone that doesn't mind the signs of time and use often inherent in these wonderful antique textiles!
