Whimsical altered art doll statue, Winifred, found object assemblage, quirky fun, upcycled junk art, repurposed, unusual buy totem doll, knight

Unlike many of my other assemblage dolls, Winifred here doesn't have a fun backstory. Usually I try to think up some amusing tale about how they became the way they are but Winifred just kind of happened. After having this vintage looking lampshade for two years and still not coming up with anything good, I was about to donate it to the thrift store. That's when I saw the knight statue I broke the head off of (oops). I'm fairly certain if my life were a cartoon a literal light bulb would have lit up above my head! After that I just kind of put her together without a whole lot of thought (which is why her head is crooked.....but lets pretend it's because she's gazing off, lost in thought. It sounds better). Often I find, the art pieces that are completely random, without much thought or reason, are my favorite and Winifred is no different. She would make a fine addition to a mantel, bookshelf or displayed among other curiosities.

Winifred measures approx 21" tall (including her hat). Her body is an up-cycled solid ceramic/plaster? black knight statue, a vintage shabby looking lampshade, a rubber doll head decorated with vintage pearl jewelry and an adorable miniature fancy hat. I did decide I wanted to add a little pop to the knight statue so I added a bit of gold to the handle of the sword as well as a pretty red jewel.

She's not perfect, but I think you'll fall in love regardless!

As with all of my assemblage dolls, this doll is meant for collecting and display only! Not meant for children.

My shop offers free shipping to the domestic United States. All orders ship within 24 hours, unless otherwise agreed on.
Small items weighing less than 1lb will be shipped via First class and do not come with insurance. Takes 5-7 days.
Larger items weighing more than 1lb will be shipped via Priority mail and comes with insurance for up to $100. Takes 3-5 days.

All vintage items are buy sold as is, I do not accept returns or offer refunds at this time. I do my best to describe any flaws that may exist, please review photos and descriptions carefully as I do not accept returns at this time. Different screen settings can alter colors so please double check the description or ask before purchase.

Vintage items may come with bad smells (cigarette smoke, moth balls, old perfumes, Dusty musties etc). Please be aware of any sensitivities you may have when purchasing vintage items. I do a light wash on most items, but any deep cleaning is the responsibility of the buyer.

I pack all of my items with great care to ensure a safe delivery. Once I drop your order off at the post office it is out of my hands. I have zero control over how quickly your package gets to you or in what condition. In the unlikely event an item arrives damaged please be sure to take photos of the shipping container and broken item, you will need these to file a damaged package claim with USPS. I am willing to help anyway I can, but filing the claim is up to the buyer. Items shipped first class do not come with insurance, this will need to be purchased separately for an additional charge.

Some of my items may have sharp edges or points. Please be aware of this and use caution when handling. An Altered State of Mind is not responsible for accidents or injuries.
