Historical Cufflinks
World War I (1914-18) Queen's Own (Royal West Kent) Regiment Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British Queen's Own (Royal West Kent) regiment buttons from the era of the First World War, over 105 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two brass Queen's Own Regiment buttons. At the beginning of the First World War, the ‘Royal West Kent' regiment was huge with more than 60,000 serving in it. Different buy battalions served on almost all fronts; in Europe, India, North Africa, Gallipoli etc. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller cuff / pocket buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 20 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of British and First World War history. The brass buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain some of the original character of the buttons which are over 105 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful brass details of these original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the perfect present.
