Silver Teardrop Lotus Pendant Necklace with Fiery Gem on iridescent background. This is one of my "Secret-Sauce"-filled, silver-plated, nickel-free, lead-free pendants; it comes with an 18" Silver-Plated Snake Chain.

The lotus flower meaning varies from culture to culture. In general, however, the lotus commonly serves as a symbol for purity, rebirth, and/or strength. A Lotus will rise from the mud without stains, therefore it is often viewed as a symbol of purity. A Lotus returns to the murky water each evening and reopens its blooms at the break of day; therefore the lotus is also a symbol of strength, resilience, and rebirth. Still another lotus flower meaning is transcendence: the lotus represents the transcending of the human spirit over worldly matters since it blooms from the underworld into the light.

I like to create “tiny art” with each piece; many pieces tell a story, some are just whimsical and come together as I play around in my studio. Often a piece will be inspired by a friend, a song, or a quote from one of my favorite authors/poets. People have told me they've purchased a piece, to hang in a place in their home or office; they will see it during the course of the day and it brings inspiration, a smile, or encouragement. This in turn inspires and encourages me, and definitely makes me smile!

At 1 3/4"L x 1 1/2"W, it contains a mix of Silver, White and a rainbow of colors that change with the angle of viewing, sparkling behind a Silver Lotus Flower with Fiery Gem. As you see by the photos, the back of the pendant also has an interesting design.

To create my "Secret Sauce" pendants, I first fill a bezel with my own blend of color and sparkles which I refer to as my "Secret Sauce." Different shades and values of color may be revealed in the piece, depending on the angle from which it is viewed.

Many of the charms or other artsy objects I include in my pieces are rescued parts of old jewelry which I rescued. Each piece is unique; I have tried to duplicate pieces but it's impossible! No two are exactly alike.
