'Gypsy in my Soul' is a watercolour portrait of a musician, captured in a photograph taken at the Edinburgh fringe festival by my photographer friend Keith Saint, and used as reference for my painting with his kind permission. This portrait is all about the stunning eyes which are fixed upon the viewer, drawing you right in as she plays her violin, seemingly just for you. Although painted quite loosely there is a high level of realism here and the image translates very well to a large canvas print.
